Things to see in Vietri sul Mare
Not far from Salerno lies Vietri, the final town that makes up the Amalfi Coast. We say that it is definitely worth visiting, but would advise leaving it after you have visited everywhere else (if you have time). There is a large car park near the beach at Vietri. Unfortunately, however, often tourists lament the dirty beach and the expensive prices.
Duomo di San Giovanni Battista
This Renaissance church with its bell decorated in ceramic and its majolica-covered dome has become the symbol of Vietri. The Parish Church of St. John the Baptist was constructed in 1732.
Ceramic Museum
The museum lies in a beautiful villa, surrounded by a park. It contains a large collection of ceramic products, which are divided into three separate exhibitions: artefacts from the German Occupation, products of everyday use, and religious relics.
