Getting around the Amalfi Coast by car
Unfortunately, this region doesn’t have a lot of railway lines; therefore the most frequent and useful form of transport is by bus.

By car
Car parks are very expensive with some costing €4-€5 per hour, although not more than €20-€40 per day. Bear in mind, though, that you are not guaranteed to find a space! Therefore, if you are arriving by car it is better to look for a hotel with cheap parking. There is absolutely no point in driving into the towns (with the exception of winter and the beginning of spring when it is still possible to find a parking space).
Talking of leaving your car, you should also leave your keys with the hotel staff as cars are frequently moved to make room for more.
By scooter or bicycle
An e-bike is the most convenient method of getting around the most interesting attractions on the coast. However, the obvious downside to cycling is that this region is formed of a number of hills; the roads often climb, descend and then climb again. At the end of the day, if you prefer to travel under your own steam then when not hire a scooter? There are many scooter rental companies. What’s more, even though prices might be a little expensive, at least you’ll find a parking space.
